National Pancake Day - Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals and IHOP restaurants will celebrate by offering a complimentary stack of their signature buttermilk pancakes in exchange for a small donation to benefit the local CMNH or other local charities. Date with a Straight: A Night OUT With Our Allies - Fourth annual fundraiser for Spokane’s 2013 Pride Celebration begins Feb. 15 with an auction of 10 preselected gay, straight, lesbian, bisexual and transgendered participants to the highest bidder for a “date” the following night. All bids starting at $25. A meet and greet starts at 7 p.m., with auction to follow. The date will be held at the Giant Ass Drum Corps Valentine Ball on Feb. 16. The ball is a formal/semi-formal community dance that starts at 8 p.m. Each “auctionee” and their bidder will receive an entry ticket and one drink ticket. Alcohol can be purchased at the dance.
