Obituary: Ostheller, Dorothy J. (Andrews)

Age 88

OSTHELLER, Dorothy J.

(Andrews) (Age 88) Passed away on June 19, 2013 at Fairfield Care.

She was born on May 12, 1925 to Bill and Kate Andrews, in Lethbridge, Alberta, Canada.

Dorothy attended business college and began her working career in the Lethbridge Coal Mine Offices.

In January 1953 she and her son moved to Spokane, where she met Claude Ostheller while square dancing.

They were married on October 17, 1953.

They farmed and worked in the Fairfield area until 1975, then moved to Hermiston, OR.

where Dorothy was the administrator for the Good Samaritan Home.

Later they moved to Carson, WA and managed the Hot Springs there.

In 1981 they moved back to Fairfield and worked for a brief time.

Claude and Dot retired in 1982 and spent time helping friends and being at the Lake Cabin.

Dorothy was preceded in death by her husband, Claude; sister, Norah and great-granddaughter, Jasmine.

She is survived by one sister, Barbara Bond; children, John (Peggy), Tom (Diane), Dick (Roberta), Claudia (John) Graham, Barbara (Dusty) Neal; along with twelve grandchildren, twenty-one great-grandchildren and one great-great- grandchild.

A graveside committal service will take place Saturday, July 6, 2013 at 10:00 AM at the Fairfield Cemetery.

A memorial service will follow at 11:00 AM in the Fairfield Presbyterian Church.

In lieu of flowers the family wishes memorial donations to Fairfield Care, 503 South Hilltop Lane, Fairfield, WA 99012.
