Obituary: Hooe, Helen Virginia Jones

HOOE, Helen Virginia Jones (Age 79) Was born in Vestaburg, Pennsylvania to Frank Edgar Gibson Jones and Virginia Marie Sickles on March 24, 1934, third of eight children and passed away on July 8, 2013.

In 1944, the family moved by train to Spokane, WA.

Helen met William Hooe and they married on May 28, 1950 and celebrated 63 years.

She is survived by her husband William; two children, Kaye (Paul) Powell of Battle Ground, WA and Glen (Brenda) Hooe of Cusick, WA; eight grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren; brothers, Robert J. Jones of Medical Lake, Ralph W. Jones of Prineville, OR, sister Leila M. Frederick of Spokane, and numerous nieces and nephews.

Helen was a homemaker who loved to cook for her family and was highly skilled at the art of crochet.

She was an avid reader and loved playing games with family and friends.

Visitation will be held at Hazen & Jaeger Funeral Home, 1306 N. Monroe St., from 2:00PM to 6:00PM Friday, July 12, 2013, with a burial at Greenwood Memorial Terrace on Saturday, July 13, 2013 at 1:00PM.
