Mumm gets things done

Here on Five Mile Prairie we have thousands of new homes. Thanks to Candace Mumm, we also have a beautiful 26-acre park – Sky Prairie Park – that Candace brought to fruition by rallying neighbors; going door-to-door. The result today is a fantastic asset for the neighborhood and the city.

Candace does this kind of community service more than anyone I’ve known. She led work to restore the Five Mile Prairie Grange, and to transform abandoned Five Mile Prairie Schoolhouse back into an active and very successful school. I worked with her as she led the Five Mile Neighborhood Association, where she and husband Steve spearheaded efforts to provide sidewalks and bike lanes to get area kids safely to school.

Through it all, Candace demonstrates exceptional ability to bring people together: old and young, liberal and conservative, native and newcomer.

So I’m thrilled that Candace Mumm is running for Spokane City Council. We’re lucky to have her as a candidate.
