Four undefeated in Valley softball

Four teams remain undefeated past the midpoint of the Spokane Valley softball season.

Hu Hot, perfect in the 18U League has a two-game lead over the field.

During last week’s three wins, Rachel Wilson drove in four runs, including a home run and Kaitlynn Whitney was 3 for 4. Sierra Findley struck out nine in another win and Morgan Shay had an unassisted double play to end the first triumph.

Other highlights: Lexi Green was 9 for 9 and Makayla Moorhead 7 for 8 in two Spokane Power sports games.

14U: Testcomm (6-0-1) suffered a tie with B-Line Appraisals for its first blemish and is half a game ahead of M.I.S.T.

12U: There was juggling in the standings the past two weeks as Ameristar Meats and Chuck’s Girls took over the lead with 6-1 records, a game ahead of two other teams. Cheyenne Parker was 3 for 3 and drove in five runs in a pivotal win over Hu Hot. She also homered in another win.

10U: Two teams are perfect in the league, UNICEP with a 8-0 mark. The team scored 116 runs in five wins. Emma Johnson hit home runs in two of the wins and Bailey Bankey hit three doubles in as many at bats in one.

Other highlights: Brianna Nemmick had a good two weeks for Testcomm going 7 for 7 in two contests.
