Architecture

John Penland has joined Bernardo|Wills Architects as a project designer/CAD technician. Penland specializes in retail, commercial and governmental commissions. Previously, he was with JEA Architects in Atlanta as a project manager.

NAC|Architecture has hired Aileen Laughlin as an interior designer and Craig Heupel as an architect. Laughlin is assisting in the renovation of Eastern Washington University’s Patterson Hall and the North Central High School STEM Addition. Heupel has more than 23 years of architectural experience and is assisting on The Summit tower for Rockwood Retirement Communities.

Communications

Desautel Hege Communications (DHC) has promoted Hayley Graham from account coordinator to account executive. Graham has been with DHC since May 2012. She will assist with strategic consultation and planning, coordinate copywriting, design and support new business development in her new role.

Finance

Amanda Swan has joined the marketing team at Numerica Credit Union as chamber and sponsorship coordinator. Previously, Swan was development coordinator for The Lands Council. She is involved in a number of area organizations and has experience in event planning, media relations and community outreach.

Terry Turnbow has joined the executive team of Intermountain Community Bank, operating as Panhandle State Bank in North Idaho, as the regional president for Spokane, Kootenai and Shoshone counties. He has previous leadership experience on the commercial banking team of another regional bank.

Health care

The Inland Northwest Health Services Foundation has named three new members to the INHS advisory board. Dominic Casey is with CompuNet; Scott Carrougher is with EMC Corp.; and Sara Green is with The Purple Turtle.

Law

Alison Erickson has joined McNeice Wheeler PLLC as an associate attorney.

Miscellaneous

Christian Youth Theater Spokane has named the following individuals to its board of directors for 2013-14: Rob Fisher, Kathy Schultz, Linda Walsh, Kristine Lyons, Rob Queen, Linda Anderson, Lisa Arsenault, Ann McKay, Marsha Schlangen, Heather Queen, Nancy Holmes, and DJ Schultz. Roseanne Walker and John Phelan have been named community advisers.

The Trentwood facility of Kaiser Aluminum has received the Washington Air National Guard’s Patriot Award. The award recognizes the company’s support for members of the Guard and Reserve.

The Coeur d’Alenes Co. was also honored with the Patriot Award. The company was nominated by Senior Master Sgt. Joel Dauer, who serves in the Washington Air National Guard as first sergeant for the 141st Mission Support Group.

Conner Thorne, Jessica Bittner and Maria Matthews have joined Etailz. Thorne is a dropship specialist; Bittner is a vendor onboarding specialist; and Matthews is an accounting clerk.
