Obituary: Moy, Doris B. (Krell)

MOY, Doris B.

(Krell) (Age 73) Passed away June 12th, 2013 at Sparks Hospital in Fort Smith, Arkansas.

She was born Doris Beulah Krell on July 10, 1939 near Tekoa, WA to Milton E. and Alma (Ryser) Krell.

She was raised in Tekoa, attended Tekoa Grade and High School, and graduated as Salutatorian of the Class of 1957.

She then attended nursing school in Spokane and received her nursing degree from Whitworth College.

Doris was married to Clarence Moy Jr.

The couple was later divorced.

Her career took her to Los Angles, California; Sitka, Alaska; and back home to Tekoa in 1972.

She worked as a registered nurse at the Tekoa Care Center for over 25 years and at the Fairfield Good Samaritan Center for 12 years.

Although she retired in 2000, she continued to work at the Tekoa Medical Clinic until 2012.

She moved to Greenwood, Arkansas in August of 2012 to be near her grandchildren.

Doris loved her grandchildren, had a servant heart, and had touched many hearts in her last year in Arkansas.

Doris loved to garden, play cards, and participate with her children and grandchildren in their activities.

She also loved to cook, and was known for her baking.

Survivors include her two children, Brian (Angie) Moy of Greenwood, AR; Cheri Moy of Edmonds, WA; three grandchildren, Addison, Benjamin, and Elizabeth Moy, all of Greenwood; her twin sister Doloris (Mrs. George) Young of Oakesdale, WA, Thelma Johnson of Tensed, ID; Geraldine Krell of Spokane, WA, and Juanita Saterfiel of Coeur d’Alene, ID.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her brother Gene Krell and sisters, Marceen Fish and Bernita Parker.

A memorial service will be held Friday, July 19, 2013 at 11:00 a.m. at the Tekoa Community Church in Tekoa, WA.

Pastor Hal Whitman will officiate at the service and urn burial will follow at Goldenrod Cemetery.

Memorial gifts may be given to the Tekoa Community Church or the Tekoa Ambulance Fund.

KRAMER FUNERAL HOME of TEKOA, WA is handling the arrangements.
