Obituary: Statler, Eugene Donald
He is survived by his wife of 54 years Lois Statler a sister, Virgie Mays and 9 children, Donna Wood, Kate Stang, Joyce Nelson, Nina Cornwell, Harvey Bowers, Edward Bowers, Janelle Statler Larson, Duane Statler and Kenneth Statler.
He was a grandfather to 16 and a Great-Grandfather to 25.
He was a millwright at ADM/Centennial Mills and a Sergeant in the US Army.
An avid CB and HAM radio operator a love he shared with his son.
After retiring he spent several years as a snowbird traveling to and from Arizona with his wife.
He loved to fish and camp.
Recent years were spent at home with family and friends.
He was ill but never complained.
We Love You Daddy…A Graveside Service will be held on Tuesday, July 16 at 10:00 am at Greenwood Memorial Terrace.
A Celebration of Gene’s life will follow, at noon on the same day at the family home.
