Pot leads to bridge

The Washington voters have spoken; marijuana – or pot – is now legal in the Evergreen State. I didn’t think our Spokane leaders would start smoking joints this quickly, but the results of their inhaling appeared in The Spokesman-Review July 9.

Through their haze, someone has dreamed up a foot bridge in downtown Spokane. With disbelief, I’m viewing this Golden Gate-style bridge that does not even allow for motor vehicles. I haven’t heard whether there is an allowance for skateboards, roller skates, bikes, wheelchairs, walkers, and sleds in the winter.

After traversing the Spokane streets this week, and accessing my dental needs, has anyone ever heard of priorities and common sense?
