Thunderstorms moving toward Inland NW

Thunderstorms, some potentially severe, are moving north toward the Inland Northwest this afternoon and may arrive over the region by 11 p.m., forecasters said today. The National Weather Service has issued a red flag advisory for fire danger from lightning strikes. In addition, a hazardous weather outlook is in effect tonight for thunderstorms. In Spokane and Coeur d’Alene, the forecast calls for a 60 percent chance of thunderstorms from 11 p.m. to 5 a.m. The threat of thunderstorms drops to 40 percent in Spokane on Wednesday and 50 percent in Coeur d’Alene. Temperatures will warm up starting Thursday with highs going back to the 90s - even as high as 97 on Saturday.
