N. Idaho woman gets jail, fines in bomb hoax case

Associated Press
SANDPOINT — A Bonners Ferry woman who pleaded guilty to calling in a phony bomb threat last November has been ordered to spend 180 days in jail and pay nearly $2,000 in restitution. The sentence was handed down Tuesday for 48-year-old Robin Ann Eby. She pleaded guilty in June to phoning in a threat that emptied out the Bonner County Administration Building on the eve of last November’s general election. The Bonner County Daily Bee reports Eby placed the call the same day she was scheduled to be sentenced on a drug charge. The judge gave Eby credit for already serving 97 days in jail. Eby was also ordered to serve three years of probation, pay more than $1,000 in court fines and costs and complete 100 hours of community service.
