Group plans barbecue meal for homeless

Blessings Under the Bridge, the outreach ministry that serves a hot meal for homeless people on Wednesdays at 4 p.m. at the intersection of Fourth Avenue and Browne Street, under the Interstate 90 viaduct, will have a summer barbecue in the same location on Saturday from noon to 3 p.m. Many social service agencies, such as Vanessa Behan Crisis Nursery, WIC and Spokane County Juvenile Court/CASA, will be represented there; the Gonzaga women’s basketball team will serve lunch and Paul Mitchell volunteers will offer free haircuts.
