A Chattaroy woman has been upgraded to serious condition at Harborview Medical Center in Seattle after a mobile home explosion Wednesday left her with severe burns covering most of her body. The female, 57, was injured when she was visiting her husband Michael Asselin at his home at 3110 E. Chattaroy Road. The mobile home exploded and burned down within minutes. Asselin died Friday morning. The Spokane County Sheriff’s Office is investigating the explosion as an attempted homicide or high-level assault, investigators said this week.
