Snyder listens, collaborates

Councilman Jon Snyder is the leader to support in the Spokane City Council District 2 election. Snyder’s habit of listening to constituents, researching both sides of issues, proposing solutions based on what is in the best interest for the city while working to find common ground with his fellow council members is the leadership I want in City Hall.

Snyder is probably best known for his passion for all things outside: from the magazine that he started, Out There Monthly; his work to pass Complete Streets legislation; or his work to reduce river contamination.

However, I know Snyder best for finding common-ground solutions. His track record is clear: He has co-sponsored a resolution or ordinance with each council member, he has participated in public conversations with civic and faith leaders and he works at the state level to successfully influence change for Spokane.

When a funding gap was identified for our libraries last year, and it appeared they would close, Snyder persevered to find common ground with other council members to put a library levy on the ballot.

I want a leader who can get results. Councilman Jon Snyder is that leader in District 2.
