Wildland fire burning near Post Falls

A two- to three-acre fire is burning in a natural area south of the Post Falls Dam. Crews from Kootenai Fire & Rescue and Idaho Department of Lands’ helitack operation are on scene. The helitack crew is dropping water on the fire. The fire is burning in a remote area that’s mainly used for hiking.
