Antebellum singer welcomes daughter
Lady Antebellum’s leading lady has given birth to a little lady.
Hillary Scott’s representative said the country singer gave birth to Eisele Kaye Tyrrell on Monday in Nashville, Tenn. Scott is married to Nashville-based drummer Chris Tyrrell. Eisele is the couple’s first child.
People magazine first reported the birth. The report said the baby girl weighed 7 pounds, 13 ounces.
Scott, 27, is one-third of the Grammy-winning country act Lady Antebellum. The group also includes Charles Kelley and Dave Haywood. They released their fourth album, “Golden,” in May.
Billy Ray Cyrus, wife will not divorce
Country musician Billy Ray Cyrus and his wife are calling off their divorce proceedings for a second time.
Tish Finley Cyrus filed for a divorce last month in Los Angeles, citing irreconcilable differences. But in a statement provided by their publicist on Monday, the couple said they are working on their relationship in therapy.
“We both woke up and realized we love each other and decided we want to stay together,” they said.
It was the couple’s second divorce attempt after Billy Ray Cyrus filed for divorce in 2010 but he later withdrew the petition.
The two got married in December 1993 and have three children together, including actress-musician Miley Cyrus.
Moreno wins life achievement award
Rita Moreno will receive the Life Achievement Award for career and humanitarian accomplishments at the 20th annual SAG Awards.
Screen Actors Guild & American Federation of Television and Radio Artists Co-President Ken Howard made the announcement Monday. He said Moreno is the 50th recipient of the award, “the most prestigious honor we bestow.”
Moreno, 81, won a best supporting actress Oscar for 1961’s “West Side Story.” She also has won two Emmys, a Tony and a Grammy Award, one of the few artists to win all four top show business awards.
She currently appears in TV Land’s “Happily Divorced.”
