Obituary: Landt, Dorothea A.

LANDT, Dorothea Ann “Dolly” (Holien) December 30, 1927 - July 1, 2013 Born of parents Carl Holien, Sr. and Maude Jeanette Case Holien in Whitefish, MT.

In 1942 the family moved to Spokane, where she graduated from North Central H.S.

in 1946.

Dorothea worked as a switchboard operator, and met and married the love of her life, Ellwood Landt, on January 1, 1948.

She provided love and support to her husband in operating a dairy farm, as a realtor and Landt Farms Sporting Clays.

Dorothea graduated EWU with a degree in Ancient History in 1985.

Dorothea is survived by her children, Steve Landt (Reardan) and Sally Scott (Nine Mile Falls), five grandchildren, and 15 great-grand- children.

She is also survived by brothers, Carl Holien Jr, (Sumner), Cliff Holien (MT), Mel Holien and Jim Holien (Spokane); sisters Doris Sheets (IN) and Betty Holtzberg (NC).

She is preceded in death by her parents, husband Ellwood Landt, brothers Andy Holien (MT), Roy Holien (Spokane) and Fred Noll (Ohio), sisters Abby Archibald (MT) and Helen Manlove (MT), and daughter-in-law Christy Landt (Reardan).

Family and friends are invited to celebrate her life on Sunday, July 28th, at 2 pm at the Inland Northwest Wildlife Council, 6116 N. Market Street; refreshments following.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in her name to the Corbin Senior Activity Center, 827 W. Cleveland Ave, Spokane, WA 99205
