From Wire Reports

Former President George H.W. Bush has shaved his head to show solidarity for the sick child of a Secret Service agent.

A statement issued by a Bush spokesman Wednesday said the 89-year-old former president acted earlier this week at his summer home in Kennebunkport, Maine. That was after he saw members of his Secret Service detail with newly shaved heads to show support for the 2-year-old son of an agent. The child’s undergoing treatment for leukemia and is losing his hair as a result. The Bush spokesman identified the boy only as Patrick.

George and Barbara Bush lost their second child, 4-year-old Robin Bush, to leukemia almost 60 years ago.

The security detail has launched a website, www.patrickspals.org, to help with expenses associated with Patrick’s treatment.

Norris’ Texas home, former set for sale

Need space to practice roundhouse kicks and fist-enforced Texas justice? You’re in luck: Chuck Norris’ spacious Dallas home, complete with a gym featuring memorabilia from his “Walker, Texas Ranger” television series, is on the market.

The Mediterranean ranch-style home in the tony Dallas neighborhood of Northwood Hills also was the on-screen residence of Cordell Walker, the roundhouse-kicking Texas Ranger who battled villainy at every turn. Norris portrayed Walker in the CBS series that ran for eight seasons.

The 7,362-square-foot home is listed for $1.2 million. Along with the weight room, it’s listed as having four bedrooms, seven full bathrooms and a theater. There’s also a separate building that served as a studio for the filming of “Walker, Texas Ranger,” as well as other Norris productions, according to listing agent Rogers Healy.

Norris co-owned the property with his brother, Aaron Norris. Healy said Chuck Norris and his wife have homes elsewhere and want to downsize.

TV host Fallon, wife become parents

“Late Night” host Jimmy Fallon can expect some late nights at home as a proud new papa. A representative said Fallon and his wife, Nancy Juvonen Fallon, welcomed a baby daughter Tuesday morning. He and his film-producer wife were wed in 2007.

The 38-year-old Fallon takes over NBC’s “The Tonight Show” from Jay Leno next year after hosting “Late Night” since 2009.
