Cougars to train in Lewiston

College Football: The Washington State football team is moving east for a portion of its preseason training camp.

A source close to the program confirmed Wednesday that the Cougars will begin practices for the upcoming season on Aug. 2 in Lewiston, where they are expected to spend the first part of camp. The specific duration of the team’s stay in Lewiston hasn’t been made available, though an announcement will likely come next week after coach Mike Leach returns from a Pac-12 media tour.

The exact location of WSU’s Lewiston practices will likely be included in any official announcement.

Construction at Martin Stadium has limited the amount of practice space available to the football team. Chirstian Caple
