Obituary: Janson, Lillian M.

JANSON, Lillian M. 89 Years of Life Lillian M. Janson of Deer Park, WA passed peacefully, surrounded by family, at Royal Park Care Center, Spokane, on Thursday, July 18th.

She was born on March 31, 1924 at St. Maries, Idaho.

to Martin and Ruth Abbott.

She moved with her family to the Mt.

Spokane area and attended Chattaroy Elementary School and Mead High School.

She married Roger Janson on June 7, 1941 and moved into the Morgan Acres area of Spokane, where their three children were born.

In 1953, the family moved to a farm north of Deer Park, where Lillian created a beautiful yard and flower gardens.

Lillian belonged to the Holy Family Auxiliary, where she volunteered with the gift cart for several years.

Lillian enjoyed many fun activities with neighbors, friends and family.

She enjoyed parties, cooking chicken dinners and making her delicious desserts.

She was devoted to her children and grandchildren, who always knew she loved and supported them.

Her sweet personality exemplified a life well lived.

She is survived by her three children: son Vince and wife LaFern of Deer Park, daughters Sharon Hutchings and Janet Kemp and her husband Bill, all of Newport, WA.

She is also survived by nine grandchildren and eleven great-grandchildren.

Lillian is also survived by her sisters Virginia Gjelvik of Spokane Valley, Irene Charbonneau of Springdale, and sisters-in-law Verabel Abbot of Spokane Valley, Mary Abbott of Spokane, and Alice Abbott of Deer Park.

Numerous nieces and nephews also survive her.

She is preceded in death by her loving husband Roger.

A celebration of her life will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Thursday, August 1st at the Open Door Congregational Church in Deer Park.

LAUER FUNERAL HOME of DEER PARK is in charge of arrangements.

Special thanks to the many caregivers during her last one and a half years at her home and at Royal Park.

Her family appreciates their devotion to her care.
