Associated Press

LEWISTON, Idaho — A Lewiston man has died in a logging truck crash in North Idaho.

The Idaho State Police say 69-year-old Vernon Benjamin was driving a loaded log truck on Southwick Road east of Kendrick at about 7:45 a.m. Thursday when he lost control of the vehicle on a right-hand turn.

The truck crossed the center line, went off the road and the vehicle rolled on its top. Benjamin died at the scene.
