Coeur d’Alene man dies from injuries in Wednesday accident

A 24-year-old Coeur d’Alene man died Friday of injuries sustained in a vehicle rollover accident in western Idaho on Wednesday night. Timothy Willison was pronounced dead just before 6 p.m. Friday at St. Joseph Regional Medical Center in Lewiston. He was airlifted there after the 2012 Dodge pickup truck he was driving rolled over on Idaho State Highway 13 around 8:45 p.m. Wednesday. Willison was driving south from Kooskia to Stites along the South Fork of the Clearwater River when he hit a patch of newly sealed roadway and lost control of the vehicle, according to an ISP news release. Willison was wearing a seatbelt at the time of the crash. Passengers Dennis Welling, 35, of Post Falls, and Travis Hogan, 32, of Coeur d’Alene, were also airlifted from the scene and treated at Kootenai Health. Welling was not wearing a seatbelt at the time of the crash. Hogan was transferred to Harborview Medical Center in Seattle, where he remains in the intensive care unit listed in serious condition. Welling’s condition was not immediately available Saturday afternoon.
