Woman from West Side killed in collision near Coeur d’Alene

Erin Walker, 42, of Mountlake Terrace, Wash., died in a head-on collision on U.S. 95 Thursday night after a car driven by Jonathon Nomee, of Worley, crossed the centerline, Idaho State Police say.

The incident occurred about seven miles south of Coeur d’Alene, according to a news release from the ISP. Nomee’s northbound 2007 Chrysler sedan crossed into southbound traffic about 8 p.m. Thursday and struck Walker’s 2002 Toyota SUV. Walker was declared dead at the scene. Both drivers were wearing seat belts.

Nomee was taken to Kootenai Health with injuries but was not listed there Saturday afternoon. The ISP is continuing to investigate the cause of the collision.
