Obituary: Greene, Dorothy J.
Age 97
(Age 97) Passed peacefully from this world to the next on July 19, 2013 at her home.
She is survived by her children Jerry Greene (Kay), Friday Harbor, WA and Linda Hand (Ronald), Spokane, WA; five grandchildren Kim Collins, Debbie Miller, Mike Greene, Stacey Robinson and Chase Greene; nine great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren plus two on the way.
Dorothy was a loving step grandmother to the Hand family.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 57 years Loyal Greene, sons Jack and Jim Greene and grandson Kelly Greene.
Dorothy was born in Weeping Water, NE on June 14, 1916.
She was a graduate of Ogallala High School.
She married Loyal in 1936 residing in Nebraska until 1958 when they moved to Wenatchee, WA.
The couple moved in 1983 to Spokane, WA to be near family.
Dorothy was a homemaker and worked in fruit packing and processing plants.
She was an avid gardener, baker and loved to cook.
She was active in the Hillyard Senior Center where she had many good friends.
She was a member of the First Church of the Nazarene.
Memorial service will be held at the First Church of the Nazarene at 9004 N. Country Homes Blvd.
