Warren welcomed back to the pulpit

From Wire Reports

Nearly four months after his son’s suicide, popular pastor Rick Warren returned to the pulpit Saturday afternoon at the Southern California megachurch he founded.

Warren, dressed in his usual casual black T-shirt and jeans, took the stage at Saddleback Church in Lake Forest, Calif., with his wife, Kay Warren, and was greeted with a long standing ovation by the congregation.

A shout of “We love you!” came from the crowd before Warren began.

“I love you, too,” a smiling Warren replied. “Have I told you lately that I love you?”

It was the first time Warren had taken the Saddleback pulpit since his 27-year-old son, Matthew, shot and killed himself April 5.

In the sermon, first in a series called “How To Get Through What You’re Going Through,” Rick Warren said he had the perfect role model for his struggles.

“God knows what it’s like to lose a son,” Warren said.

Ocean cancels shows due to ailment

Frank Ocean is canceling the rest of his Australian live shows because of a tear on his vocal cords.

Live Nation posted on its Facebook page early Friday that the Grammy winner was told by doctors to rest his voice after performing in Melbourne’s Festival Hall on Thursday night.

Ocean’s representative confirmed the ailment.

The 25-year-old singer was to perform Friday at Festival Hall and in Sydney today and Tuesday.

Aniston, beau, ‘already feel married’

Jennifer Aniston is dismissing rumors surrounding her upcoming wedding to Justin Theroux and setting the record straight.

“We just want to do it when it’s perfect, and we’re not rushed, and no one is rushing from a job or rushing to a job,” the 44-year-old actress told the Associated Press on Saturday while promoting her new film, “We’re the Millers.”

“And, you know, we already feel married,” she added.

Aniston and Theroux, 41, began dating more than two years ago and got engaged on his birthday last August. Since then, their indefinite plans have led to speculation ranging from a broken engagement to Theroux getting cold feet. Not true, says Aniston.

“We have yet to set any dates. There have been no canceled weddings. There have been no postponed weddings. There have been no arguments about where to get married. Just clearing all that up,” she said.
