Police search for suspect in West Central burglary

Spokane police are searching for a man in connection to a West Central burglary Tuesday morning. Police responded to a call at about 8 a.m. of three men breaking into an occupied home on the 1400 block of West Maxwell Ave., according to a news release. The suspects allegedly broke into the house and threatened to kill the occupants inside. As an officer arrived, he heard a large bang inside the home and saw the men flee the home, according to the release. Police caught and arrested Alexander Vanzandt, 23, and Jory Vallee, 24, on charges of residential burglary. The third suspect is still at large. He is a Native American male wearing a black T-shirt, gray shorts and a large black backpack. Anyone with information about the incident or the suspect is asked to call Crime Check at (509) 456-2233.
