Obituary: Larose, Jerene K.

Age 77

LaROSE, Jerene K. Jerene K. LaRose passed away May 31, 2013 in the company of her family.

Born on May 28, 1936 in Spokane, Washington the daughter of George and Ruth Hughbanks.

After graduating from Lewis and Clark High School and attending Washington State University, she worked for the Department of State Foreign Service in the Embassy in London, and later Overlake Hospital Medical Center.

She also volunteered at the Bellevue Arts Museum and Reach to Recovery.

Jerene enjoyed on active lifestyle and loved time with her family and friends.

She played tennis weekly, attended theatre, and cultural events often and cherished her time flying kites at the beach.

Her adventurous spirit culminated in travel across the country and around the world.

She shined when she was laughing with, and otherwise entertaining her granddaughters.

She is survived by her husband of 52 years, David R. LaRose, her son, Stven G. LaRose, and granddaughter, Zaida Shelly LaRose of Ashland, Oregon; her daughter Linda Sue LaRose, son-in-law Jonathan Foster and granddaughter Alina LaRose Foster of Seattle; as well as her sister, Linda Ruth McClenahan of Bellevue.

At her request, there will be no service.

Her family’s wish is that friends will celebrate Jerene’s life in remembrance of the loving, cheerful, humor-filled influence she had on all she touched.
