Obituary: Johnson, Elmer Roy (Age 79)

JOHNSON, Elmer Roy (Age 79) A longtime resident of Milan/Chattaroy, Wash. passed away on Wednesday, May 29, 2013.

He is the dear father and father-in-law of Jon and Theresa Johnson of Nine Mile Falls, Washington, Lorna Johnson and Doug Barnes of Curlew, Washington, Marci Johnson and Curtis Jacobson of Hamilton, Montana, and Jenifer and Yousef Al Hozail of Lake Stevens, Washington.

His sisters are Karen (Richard) Doty of Spokane Valley and Elaine Van Horne of Newman Lake.

Roy enjoyed thirteen grandchildren and eleven great-grandchildren.

Elmer’s dear wife, Janice Arlene Johnson, passed away in 2005.

Born in 1933 at Fort Collins, Colorado, Roy graduated from Riverside High School with the Class of 1951, and served with the United States Coast Guard as a Radioman 3rd Class seeing combat action in Korea during the Korean Conflict.

He was a bus driver for Greyhound Bus Lines for 28 years retiring in 1986.

Roy was a member of the V,F.W.

in Hillyard, F.O.

of Eagles, Aerie 3564 in Deer Park, and a life-member of the N.R.A.

He loved hunting and fishing.

Graveside Services honoring Mr. Johnson will at the Milan Cemetery, Chattaroy, Washington, at 11:00 A.M. Sunday , June 9, 2013.
