Obituary: Largent, Patsy Jean (Benefiel)

Age 86

LARGENT, Patsy Jean (Benefiel) December 7, 1926 to June 2, 2013 Our mother went to be with the Lord on Sunday, June 2, 2013.

She passed away peacefully surrounded by three generations of her family.

She was born on December 7, 1926, the oldest of two children, the daughter of Isaac O., Jr. and Daisy P. (Gibson) Benefiel in Coffeyville, Kansas.

She lived in Coffeyville and graduated from Field Kinley High School in 1945.

She met our father, Charles A. Largent in 1944, who was stationed with the Army Air Corps.

at Coffeyville Air Field.

They were married on December 10, 1945.

Together they raised their family of five children in Spokane.

After Patsy had raised all her children, she attended Spokane Falls Community College and completed their Medical Secretary program.

She then went to work at Holy Family Hospital as a Unit Secretary and retired after 20 years of service.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, and brother, Donald J. Benefiel and granddaughter Tricia Largent.

She is survived by her children: Donald R. (Bette) Largent, Nancy K. Yednak, Charles Dean (Wendy) Largent, Daniel A.

(Cathie) Largent, Keith O. Largent; and 27 grandchildren, 33 great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.

A Memorial Service to celebrate her life is planned for 2:00 PM on June 8th at Prince of Peace Lutheran Church on North Indian Trail.

Her family wishes to thank everyone at Fairwinds Retirement, Manor Care and Holy Family Hospital for the care and kindness they provided our mother.
