Obituary: Monaco, Joseph G.

Age 76

MONACO, Joseph G. December 27, 1936 - May 25, 2013 Resident of Brentwood, CA On May 25, an amazing man named Joe Monaco left this planet to be with our Heavenly Father.

The entire family feels very blessed to have been by his side as he started his journey to begin his eternal life.

On December 27, 1936, Joe was born in Anaconda, Montana as the youngest (by 20 years) of three brothers (Earl, Elmer, Clarence) and three sisters (Virginia Blaskovich, Margie Frey, Angela).

After Anaconda High, Joe graduated from Gonzaga University where he had made lifelong friends who had also been members of the famous Gonzaga Glee Club.

When Joe graduated, he was also commissioned as a second lieutenant in the Army because of ROTC.

After officer training, he remained in the reserves for many years in Spokane.

After starting Monaco Enterprises with his brother Clarence, Joe moved to California with his four young children (Tony, Suzanne, Michael and Michelle - who is already enjoying her eternal life).

After eight years as a single father, Joe met the love of his life - Debbie Cline (a teacher at Notre Dame High School).

They married in less than six months and were blessed with 37 years of love.

Joe’s greatest joy was being with family: his wife, children, five grandchildren (Sarah, Andre, Luke, Mia, Christopher and three bonus grandchildren - Montana, Miles and Megan), his three living siblings and Debbie’s three, with too many nieces and nephews to mention by name.

He will be missed for his wisdom, outgoing nature, generosity, fishing expertise, wine-making, but, most of all, for his wonderful hugs and fish kisses.

A celebration of Joe’s life will be held at Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church at 500 Fairview Ave., Brentwood, CA at 11:00a.m.

on Friday, June 7, 2013.
