Affiliation not important

“The Democratic President:” I expect this kind of identification introduction statement from regional news sources that have to walk a delicate line between appeasing their reader demographics and the truth, but not from national sources such as McClatchy-Tribune. It speaks down to us.

This was a story about a presidential hopeful and the president sharing credit for successful government programs that saved a disaster-stricken region. It illustrated our federal government at its best - a breath of fresh air.

“America” is our governance. When it works, we should all feel proud regardless of party affiliation.
