Gary Jones of Bonners Ferry (“Gas prices and blame” – June 1) has a selective memory. The highest gas prices in the United States were reached in 2008, during President George W. Bush’s watch; that’s the only time I paid over four bucks a gallon at my local Conoco.

There’s the real reason for the Iraq invasion.
