Man knocked out, robbed on Centennial Trail

A 59-year-old Coeur d’Alene man was knocked unconscious and robbed on the Centennial Trail on Friday night, according to the Kootenai County Sheriff’s Department.

David Dill was walking along the trail south of the Coeur d’Alene Public Golf Course just after 10 p.m. when a man on a mountain bike rode up behind him and hit him on the head with an unknown object. Dill was unconscious for about 20 minutes before he called deputies. The thief took cash from Dill and was not found. Dill was treated for minor injuries.

The sheriff’s office is investigating.
