Police are searching for a white man in his 40s after a robbery at Albertson’s grocery store Wednesday morning.

Police said the man walked into the business at 6520 N. Nevada St. around 9:30 a.m. and confronted an employee at the customer service counter. He had his hand inside a black, leather satchel-type bag and stated he had a gun, a release said.

He fled the store on foot with an undisclosed amount of cash.

The man is described as thin, 6 feet tall, approximately 40 years old, with long hair and wearing blue jeans, a light grey hooded sweatshirt and a navy baseball hat.

The release said this man is believed to have also robbed the Java Hut Espresso stand the same day.

Anyone with information is asked to call Crime Check at (509) 456-2233.
