SPOKANE COUNTY – The Spokane County Regional Animal Protection Service Hope Foundation has launched an online auction to raise money for their animal medical program and some items for the new regional animal shelter.
The fundraiser is dubbed the “SCRAPS Off Leash, Online Auction.” Bidders can visit www.scrapshope foundation.org and click on the events tab to find a list of available items, which include gift certificates, flowers and a canoe rental. The auction closes at 10 p.m. June 23.
Indians baseball tickets discount
SPOKANE VALLEY – July 6 is Spokane Valley Day at Avista Stadium for the Spokane Indians baseball game versus the Eugene Emeralds. The day is part of the city’s yearlong 10th anniversary celebration, and there will be fireworks after the game.
Discounted tickets are available for $10 for reserved upper box seats and $5 for reserved bench seats. Visit www.spokaneindians baseball.com, select the Groups link, then click on “join your group.” Look for the Spokane Valley 10 year anniversary logo to purchase tickets.
Council holding special meetings
SPOKANE VALLEY – The Spokane Valley City Council will hold two special meetings Tuesday.
A retreat to discuss the 2014 budget will be from 9:30 a.m.-4:30 p.m. at City Hall, 11707 E. Sprague Ave.
A joint meeting with the council and the city’s planning commission will be from 6-8 p.m. at City Hall. The agenda for the meeting includes a discussion on Shoreline Master Program regulations.
Irrigation board to meet Tuesday
SPOKANE VALLEY – Model Irrigation District 18 has changed the next board of directors meeting to 3:30 p.m. Tuesday at the district office, located at 1506 S. Pierce Road.
The meeting was previously scheduled for June 25.
Farmers market hosting art show
