Age 73
Dave was born in Spokane on June 20, 1940 to Harris and Helen Kernkamp.
He attended school in Plaza and was a graduate of Rosalia High School, class of 1958.
He received his degree from Whitworth College in 1963 and taught elementary school in Glide, Oregon.
Dave married Margaret Oshanyk in 1963.
He returned to the family farm in 1974 and farmed until 2010 when his son Mike Kernkamp took over.
Dave is survived by children; Mike Kernkamp of Plaza, WA, and Diana (Rick Forsman) Thomas of Fall City, WA.
Sister; Darla Jeske of Loma Linda, CA, and four grandchildren.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Rosalia Ambulance Fund in Dave’s honor.
A Memorial Service will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Monday, June 17, at the Rosalia United Methodist Church.
