AMBROSE, Dr. Willard J.

“Bill” Born in Spokane on March 10, 1931, passed away on May 30, 2013 in Phoenix, AZ.

He is survived by his wife, Janet, son John (Dulcie) of Flagstaff, AZ, granddaughters Adrianna and Katrina, daughter Donna (Michael), granddaughter Jessie, grandson Jacob of Kailua, HI.

Also sister-in-law Audrey (Allen Ambrose deceased) nephews Mark and Dan (Cheryl) grand niece Sarah and grand nephew Morgan all of Phoenix, AZ.

Bill attended Colville Grade School and West Valley High before he went on to earn a Doctorate Degree in Veterinary Medicine from Washington State University in 1955.

While at WSU he met the love of his life, Janet (Feroe), his wife of 58 years.

Bill served as an Air Force Captain at Luke AFB, Glendale, AZ.

His veterinary career spanned 43 years while also being active in state and national veterinary organizations, Boy Scouts, 1st United Methodist Church, and as founding member of the first Emergency Animal Clinic in Phoenix.

In 2011 he was one of the first to be inducted into the AzVMA Hall of Fame.

A memorial was held June 8th in Phoenix, AZ.
