Obituary: Calhoun, James “Jimmy”

Age 76

CALHOUN, James “Jimmy” Passed away June 11, 2013 in Spokane, WA.

He was born December 12, 1936 in Bridgeport, to Grace and Tuskegee Airman 2nd Lieutenant James A. Calhoun.

Jimmy retired from Sikorsky Aircraft, in Stratford, CT.

He became a student, mentor, counselor, volunteer, and then teacher at Teen Challenge, Airway Heights.

He and wife Inez made their home in Spokane.

Jimmy made many friends throughout the Teen challange community due to his loving and giving spirit and his love for Jesus Christ.

Jimmy loved music, playing golf, and enjoying retired life.

Jimmy is survived by his wife, Inez, sister Jean Royster, daughter Kelley Geter, three sons Raymond, Shannon and Jerome, 15 grandchildren: numerous nephews, nieces, and cousins.

Preceded in death by his parents; brother, Raymond, son James, daughters, Anita and Stacey, and step-children Russell, and Toni.

A Celebration of Life- service will be held on Monday, June 17th, 2013 at 1:00 PM at Mountain View Assembly of God, 633 E. Magnesium Rd, Spokane WA with Pastor Daniel Henshaw officiating.
