Obituary: Edgmond, Virgel Tim

Age 69

EDGMOND, Virgel Tim (Age 69) Passed away peacefully on June 4, 2013 at the Hospice House in Spokane.

He was born on July 21, 1943 in Billings, MT to Hazel Henigman.

Virgel grad-uated from Roosevelt High School in Portland, OR.

He spent four years in active duty in the Air Force, during which he was stationed in Libya.

Later he served as a Civil Service Firefighter from 1962 to 1997 with over 30 years spent at Fairchild Air Force Base.

He was a very upbeat, positive person that was a mentor and a friend to many service men and women.

Virgel had a passion for painting and enjoyed sports, especially basketball and those his children played.

He is survived by his wife of 35 years Karen; three children which he was loving father to, Scott (Clair), Tawney, and Alex; as well as his brother Cliff Edgmond.

He was preceded in death by his mother and two other brothers.

The family would like to thank Dr. Kirk Lund and Nurse Sandy at Rockwood Cancer Center as well as Kimberly, Mary, and Danny of Hospice of Spokane and all the staff at the Hospice House.

All are welcome to join the family for a memorial service which will be held on Tuesday, June 18, 2013 at 3:00 pm at the Sunset Chapel, Fairmount Memorial Park, 5200 W. Wellesley.
