Obituary: Mcfadden, Katherine”Kay” (Utesch)
She worked at the phone company in New York and later at Thrifty Drug in San Diego until she retired.
For the past 28 years Kay made her home in the Spokane Valley.
Kay taught her children responsibility, work ethics and what family means.
She was selfless and very giving.
Kay loved being around her family and enjoyed traveling to California, Colorado, and Oregon to visit her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
That’s what she loved the most, family.
She will be missed.
Kay is survived by her children, Phyllis (Jim) Muehlbauer of Escondido, CA, Jeffrey (Theresa) Utesch of Veradale, WA, and Douglas (Cheryl) Utesch of Hood River, OR; grandchildren, Julie, David, Shane, Amber, Jamie and Matthew; and great-grandchildren, Sarah, Ryan, Eric, Luke, Jessie and Lilia Faith.
Cremation has taken place and a private family celebration of Kay’s life will be held August 3, 2013, at the home of Jeff and Theresa Utesch.
