McMorris Rodgers is right

Kent Rinne’s May 30 letter, “McMorris Rodgers the problem,” deserves a rebuttal. He’s under the impression that Americans want Obamacare, but the opposite is true. From the beginning, every one of the many polls indicated the majority doesn’t favor Obamacare. One recent poll showed Obamacare losing favor, indicating only 37 percent think it’s a good thing.

Sen. Max Baucus, D-Mont., an author and supporter, calls it “a train wreck coming.” Many doctors are electing to retire, rather than deal with Obamacare. My doctor is very concerned.

Concessions were made behind closed doors to some Democrats in order to get the minimum votes required to pass. Obama claimed requiring people to buy medical insurance was not a tax, but that’s exactly what U.S. Supreme Court Justice John Roberts called it. It would have never passed if it had been considered a tax.

This administration has done, and continues to do, enormous damage to our economy, with a nearly $17 trillion national debt that continues to grow. Our younger and future generations are going to pay the price. We need more people like McMorris Rodgers who have the common sense to do what is best for this country.
