Obituary: Anthony, Roland W. (Age 77)

ANTHONY, Roland W. (Age 77) Passed away June 16, 2013 in Liberty Lake, WA.

Roland was born on July 16, 1935 in Spokane, WA.

to Myrtle (Olson) Anthony and Paul Louis Anthony.

He was a life-long resident of Spokane and married Esther Louise on July 11, 1964.

Roland was an active home builder for many years and built many model homes in the Spokane area.

He also loved drawing and woodcarving in his early years.

Roland was in the Army from 1960 to 1965 as a medic, serving in the 34th Medical Battalion in Germany.

He was a member of the Washington State Grange, Knights of Columbus, and a former member of the Home Builders Association of Spokane.

Roland is survived by his two sons; Steven Michael Anthony (spouse Lynda) and John Scott Anthony (spouse Laura) as well as grandchildren Courtney, Brandon, Derek, Dylan, Cayla, Arielle, Ryan, and Daniel.

He also leaves behind two brothers; Bruce Douglas Anthony and Richard Gary Anthony and a sister; Gloria Jane Turcotte and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Esther, and his brother John Reid Anthony and sister Mary Louise Anthony.

A memorial service will be held on Wednesday, June 19, 2013 at 11:00 a.m. at St. Augustine Catholic Church.

The Inurnment will be held at Holy Cross Cemetery Wednesday, June 19, 2013 at 3:00 p.m.
