Joan Cossette has done it again.

The Colbert woman is one of 60 semifinalists in the 46th Pillsbury Bake-Off Contest. Her Lemon Pistachio Blackberry Thumbprints need votes to advance to the final round and earn her a chance to win the $1 million grand prize. Voting is open now through June 27 at www.bakeoff.com. Finalists will compete for the grand prize Nov. 10-12 in Las Vegas.

In order to encourage simpler, original recipes, submissions in the contest were limited to seven or fewer ingredients and a 30-minute prep time.

Cossette was a finalist in the 44th Pillsbury Bake-Off Contest with her Orange-Coconut Breakfast Rolls. Look inside today’s Food section on Page C3 for both of the recipes.

The second category is open to entries for the best dessert pizza with homemade crust, using Fleischmann’s pizza crust yeast or another kind of Fleischmann’s yeast.

For each entry in the contest, Fleischmann’s will donate $10 to the No Kid Hungry Campaign. Contest details and entry guidelines are available at the Spokane Interstate Fair entry office by calling (509) 477-1766 or online at www.spokanecounty.org/ fair/sif. Click on “Exhibitor’s Guide.”
