Waldref a strong advocate
I’ve raised my family in the Logan Neighborhood for the past 20 years. It’s a great place to live near Gonzaga University, the Spokane River, the Centennial Trail and the University District.
I am grateful for the many stakeholders who have engaged in Logan Neighborhood planning efforts, and invested in neighborhood improvements.
As stakeholder leader for the current planning process, I have engaged with many businesses, neighbors and leaders like City Councilwoman Amber Waldref about ways we can support a mix of residential and commercial uses along the Hamilton Street Corridor that increase economic activity, promote auto and pedestrian safety, and honor neighborhood identity. We have an exciting vision that could be a blueprint for successful development of other neighborhood centers.
I thank Waldref for being a strong advocate for smart development in my neighborhood, as well as her efforts to support redevelopment of historic Market Street and the International District along East Sprague Avenue.
