In brief: Free dump passes available today

NORTHWEST SPOKANE – The Northwest Neighborhood Association has 65 free dump passes available for residents at its meeting today.

The meeting begins at 7 p.m. at Browne Elementary School, 5102 N. Driscoll Blvd. Please bring a driver’s license or a current utility bill to verify residency.

Passes are given out on a first-come, first-served basis. Call (509) 326-6422.

Concert tonight at Holy Names

NORTHWEST SPOKANE – Holy Names Music Center is hosting a guitar concert at 7 p.m. today featuring Michael and Keleren Millham performing classical, folk and original compositions.

Tickets are $12 and include appetizers and a glass of beer or wine. The concert is at Holy Names Music Center, 3910 W. Custer Drive on the Mukogawa Fort Wright campus. Call: (509) 326-9516.

Send-off reception for Kyle Smith

SPOKANE – The Salvation Army is hosting a goodbye reception for Kyle and Lisa Smith on Tuesday starting at 5:30 p.m.

Kyle Smith is the outgoing executive director of the local Salvation Army organization.

The reception features speakers and pictures as well as refreshments and hors d’oeuvres. The reception will be in the Salvation Army Fellowship Hall, 222 E. Indiana Ave.
