The city will host a community workshop on Tuesday to gather input on the Division Street Gateway Project.

The Division Gateway area covers the Division and Browne Street and Division and Ruby Street couplets between Interstate 90 and Sharp Avenue.

Special attention is being focused on Division between I-90 and Second Avenue, and on Main Avenue between Browne and Pine Street.

According to a news release from the city, workshop attendees may provide written or verbal feedback on proposed design elements, suggest updates as well as share ideas for how traffic flow for cars and pedestrians in the area can be improved.

The city launched an effort to improve its gateways – especially the areas around the main freeway exits – last year.

Some of the underpasses have recently been repainted and repaired by work crews from Geiger Corrections Center.
