Warrant issued for man suspected of pepper spraying barista during robbery

From staff reports
Spokane police issued a warrant Thursday for the arrest of a man wanted for robbing and pepper spraying a barista at a drive-through coffee shop last week. Andrew Carr, 27, allegedly robbed the Hot Toddys Coffee Shop at West Francis Avenue and North Atlantic Street on June 10. Surveillance footage shows Carr pulling a knife and using pepper spray on the woman working. Carr then attempted to break into the cash register, then stole the employee’s belongings and her car. Police found the car a few blocks away, and the employee was not seriously injured. Police are searching for Carr on charges of first-degree robbery, first-degree burglary, first-degree attempted robbery and theft of a motor vehicle.
