Obituary: Hoover, Lois Jean

HOOVER, Lois Jean (Age 81) Passed away peacefully June 24, 2013 in Spokane WA.

Born in Spokane on November 10, 1931, she is predeceased by her parents, Joseph and Clara LaShaw of Rockford Washington, and her late husband of 47 years, Arthur W. Hoover of Clarksburg, West Virginia.

Survivors include her brother, Emery LaShaw of Rockford Washington; two sons, Daniel W. Hoover of Honolulu Hawaii; David L. Hoover of Coeur d’Alene Idaho; Daughter in law Anita L. Hoover of Coeur d’Alene ID, Granddaughter, Kristen M. Hoover of Spokane Washington; and Grandson, Michael D. Hoover, of Coeur d’Alene Idaho.

Lois worked 20 years as a secretary at grade schools in Spokane.

She was very active at Northview Bible Church especially with the children in Sunday School and also Vacation Bible School.

She was also active with the Wives of Gideon’s.

She enjoyed going to the symphony and Civic Theater with her friends.

She loved music and played the piano in church for many years.

She also had a special place in her heart for animals.

A Visitation will be Thursday, June 27th, 2013 from 2:00pm to 8:00pm at Ball & Dodd Funeral Home.

A Funeral Service will be held Friday June 28th, 2013 at 10:00am at Northview Bible Church, 13521 N. Mill Road, Spokane.

Interment at Fairview Cemetery, Rockwood, WA.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Hospice of Spokane, PO Box 2215 Spokane WA 99210 or Alzheimer’s Association, 910 W 5th Avenue, Ste 256, Spokane WA.
