Don’t stop thinking about Hoopfest

Fleetwood Mac. Hoopfest. They don’t seem like a natural pairing. But as both events will happen Saturday, the folks at the Spokane Arena are urging a bit of awareness:

You can go your own way, but the street might be closed.

Mallon Avenue between Howard and Lincoln streets will be closed beginning at 7 p.m. today for Hoopfest. As such, the main Arena box office (on the southwest corner of the Arena property, across from the Flour Mill) will be CLOSED on Saturday. That means you will not be able to pick up will call tickets there before the show.

The will call windows at the northeast event entrance will be open beginning at 10 a.m. Saturday. Arena officials urge will call patrons to pick up their tickets as soon as possible, or arrive at the arena in plenty of time on Saturday as lines are anticipated. The box office is open today from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m., so pick them up today if you can.

Also be aware of this: Public lots at the Arena will be open for Hoopfest volunteers, fans and players from 6 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday concert parking will open at 5 p.m. Cost for either session is $6 per stall.

Doors open at 6:30 p.m. Showtime is 8 p.m. and no opening act is scheduled.

Have fun!
