Fire damages vacant North Spokane home
A vacant house in North Spokane sustained $15,000 in damage from a fire early this morning.
The fire started just before 4:30 a.m. at a house at 4309 N. A St., a release from the Spokane Fire Department said.
The first rescue crews on scene reported flames were visible through a front window.
Neighbors reported the small, one-story house was vacant and crews did not find anyone inside.
Fire and heat damage was contained to a bedroom and the kitchen. The whole house suffered smoke damage.
A cause is under investigation.
